Last night (4.18.13) was man night for April, and it may have been the most yelling, sweating, and bruising that some of us have had since college football season. It was an impressive field of talent. Congratulations to Travis Burt, now-reigning ping pong champion; Team Roquemore-Knox on the foosball table; and one Josh McClendon (YES) on the air hockey rink. If you were unable to join us, you were missed. Everybody go ahead and be prepared for man-night next month on Thursday, May 16. It’ll be upon us quickly, so be ready.
Here are the updates from last night:
#1) We have a weekend of man stuff coming up NEXT weekend. On Friday night, starting at about 6pm, come out to Epworth to help cook some hawg. Later that evening we’re also going to send a team of guys over to the church attic to pre-clean so that groups can better identify their junk up there, in preparation for the actual clean-up to come. On Saturday, we finish up the cooking and serve meals at Epworth. On Sunday, meet at 2pm to head to Congaree to hike the boardwalk. Sign up here for the BBQ volunteering.
#2) We also have another men’s small group opportunity starting soon. You’ll get an email with details today.
#3) Man night in the month of May (May 16) combines Heart and Strength, fellowship and service. We’re going to start with attic clean-up and then go out for wings. You’ll get an email with more details next week.
Thanks, fellas, and keep it up. The Lord be with you and bless you, his sons.
